ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

Why VEX IQ This Summer?

The VEX IQ season is launched in mid-May. Summer camp is the perfect opportunity for interested students to get a head start — completing their robot build and mastering both Driver Control skills and Autonomous programming well before the fall season begins.

🏆
SEASON HEAD START

VEX IQ season launches mid-May. Start working on the new season challenge and complete your bot months ahead of competition teams who wait until fall.

🎮
DRIVER CONTROL MASTERY

Practice and refine Driver Control skills extensively. Develop muscle memory, strategic driving patterns, and efficient game-piece handling techniques.

🤖
AUTONOMOUS PROGRAMMING

Design and code full Autonomous routines. Learn sensor integration, movement precision, and reliable autonomous strategies that score consistently.

⚙️
COMPLETE ROBOT BUILD

Students build a complete competition-ready robot from scratch. Learn mechanical design, drivetrain configuration, game mechanism construction, and assembly best practices.

🔧
VEXcode IQ PROGRAMMING

Program using VEXcode IQ with both Block and Python modes. Understand control loops, sensor calibration, and modular code organization for reliable performance.

📊
ENGINEERING NOTEBOOK

Maintain a competition-standard engineering notebook throughout the camp. Document design decisions, testing iterations, and autonomous routines for judges.
